Lori Haught, Registered Veterinary Technician
As the coordinator Lori is an excellent veterinary technician and has had extensive training in advanced nursing techniques. As a registered veterinary technician (RVT), Lori performs much the same duties as our senior veterinary Nurses as well as additional advanced nursing duties that are restricted by law to RVTs.
Lori joined AMC in 2005 as an extern during her final semester of the two year veterinary technician program at Fairmont State. Fortunately for us and for our patients, Lori joined our staff full time after she completed her degree in May, 2005.
As our Dental Health team leader, Lori helps us define and constantly improve our dental protocols as well as maintain our sophisticated dental equipment. Lori has received advanced training in dental hygiene, dental radiology and dental disease at the world class Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore, MD.
Lori and her husband Wes share their home with their two dogs, "Sam" and "Buckwheat" and their cat, "Ashley", who they bottle raised through the AMC Adoption Program (the bottle fed foster babies seem to rarely make it back into the Adoption Program once our nurses take them home -- a job related risk!). Lori is pictured here with an AMC adoptive kitty, "Angel".
Chris Brooks, (WVU student) Veterinary Nurse & Kennel Manager
Chris grew up in West Virginia, graduated from Frankfort High School and then served in the U.S. Army for 5 years, from which he was honorably discharged after completing his commitments and receiving promotions up to the level of Sergeant. Chris served overseas including tours Afghanistan, Iraq and also served domestically.
During Chris's tenure as a Military Police Officer at Ft. Stewart, he became increasingly aware of the tragic plight of many pet animals and was motivated to return to school so that, as a veterinarian, he could more directly better animal's lives.
Chris is a majoring in Animal & Nutritional Science at WVU and plans to continue on to veterinary school after completing his undergraduate studies at WVU. (Chris would not be the first AMC team member to follow that path! Go, Holly, DVM -- LSU class of 2009!!)
Chris and his wife, Christian, share their home with their two dogs "Lucie" and "Orion". Soon after Chris joined our team in summer, 2007, we were fortunate enough to recruit his wife, Christian to join our Client Services team here at AMC! Chris's dedication to learning and fantastic work ethic helped him rapidly learn the ropes here at AMC and he rapidly earned his place on the team as a veterinary nurse. As our Kennel Manager, Chris also oversees the kennel and the Animal Care Attendant's training and supervision.
Chris is pictured with a lovely AMC adoptive kitten, George.
Beth Hollingshead, (B.S. in Biology) Veterinary Nurse
Beth is orginially from Moundsville, WV. Beth has been with AMC since 2007 when she and her husband moved to Morgantown so he could obtain his master's degree in an art related field. Being animal lovers, they share their home with two dogs, "Gracie" and "Chuck," both of whom are rescues.
Beth brings with her a wealth of knowledge that comes from years of experience working with animals. She shows enthusiasm for learning and has proven herself a great addition to the AMC staff!
Susan Weimer, (student) Veterinary Assistant
Sue is originally from Arizona, and found herself and her family relocating to the Morgantown area two years ago. Sue previously served in the U.S. Coast Guard at a small boat search and rescue unit where she met and married her husband, David. During their 27 years together, they raised two sons who currently attend WVU.
While Sue has extensive experience in animal care, Sue started her career at AMC while here for an internship for her clinical practicum. AMC noticed a valuable opportunity and she soon found herself accepting a job offer. Sue is currently finishing her first year of veterinary technician studies from Penn Foster College. She hopes to complete her degree next year and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She plans to specialize her field, but has not quite decided which path to take yet.
Sue and Dave share their home with their three cats, "Sasha", "Kaycee" and "Maverick", all of whom are rescues.

Holly Everly, (WVU graduate) Animal Care Attendant
Holly is no stranger to the Morgantown area, having lived in Preston County her entire life. Holly graduated from WVU in 2008, with a B.A. degree in Communcation Studies. She would like to go back to school to obtain a degree in a medical field. Holly has many animals of her own, including 4 cats, "Stormy," "KC," "Katie," and "Mr. Tux" as well as one dog "Max."
Holly has been around animals her whole life and has always dreamed of being able to work with them. We are excited to have Holly as part of our team and look forward to watching her learn and grow within the veterinary field.
Jen Zapotocki, (B.S. in Animal Biotechnology & Conservation) ACA

Jen moved to
Morgantown in 2010 with her fiancé Joel and her adopted cat “Snuggles.” Jen has a B.S. Degree in Animal Biotechnology and Conservation from
Delaware
Valley
College. While working on her degree, Jen concentrated in Small Animal Science and has put this knowledge to use through her prior experiences as a veterinary nurse.
Jen enjoys working with pets and their owners as well as the excitement that every day brings when working in the veterinary field. Jen is eager to start her career with AMC and quickly work her way up to veterinary nurse. We have no doubts that Jen will rapidly learn the ropes and find herself in just those shoes. We look forward to watching Jen learn and grow within the veterinary field. Her dedication to animals definitely makes her a great fit here at AMC!
