Nursing Staff

Jen Foreman, (B.S. in Animal Biotechnology & Conservation)  Nurse Supervisor

Jen moved to Morgantown in 2010 with her fiancee Joel and her adopted cat “Snuggles.” They have since rescued "Sadie" and "Gizmo" (who is from our own adoption program!).  They also recently got married - congratulations, Jen and Joel!!!  Jen has a B.S. Degree in Animal Biotechnology and Conservation from Delaware Valley College. While working on her degree, Jen concentrated in Small Animal Science and has put this knowledge to use through her prior experiences as a veterinary nurse.

Jen enjoys working with pets and their owners as well as the excitement that every day brings when working in the veterinary field. Jen was eager to start her career with AMC and quickly worked her way to veterinary nurse and is now our nurse supervisor. We look forward to watching Jen continue to learn and grow within the veterinary field. She is a great fit here at AMC!

Beth Hollingshead, (B.S. in Biology) Veterinary Nurse

Beth is orginially from Moundsville, WV. Beth has been with AMC since 2007 when she and her husband moved to Morgantown so he could obtain his master's degree in an art related field. Being animal lovers, they share their home with two dogs, "Gracie" and "Miss T. Neville," both of whom are rescues.

Beth brings with her a wealth of knowledge that comes from years of experience working with animals in both hospital and sanctuary settings. She shows enthusiasm for learning, has a great sense of humor and has proven herself a great addition to the AMC staff!

Emily Ellis (B.S. Animal & Nutritional Sciences) Veterinary Nurse

Emily has lived in West Virginia all her life. Originally coming from Chapmanville, WV, Emily came to Morgantown like so many others – to attend WVU in pursuit of her degree. Emily is no stranger to the veterinary field, as she began volunteering at an animal hospital in high school, which eventually turned into a full-time position upon her graduation from college.

Emily currently shares her home with her three – Rae an Australian Shepherd mix and cats Norman and Bo Diddly.  Emily hopes to attend veterinary school to possibly specialize in exotic animal medicine.  We look forward to working with Emily and helping her achieve her goals in the veterinary field.

Jennifer McIe, (WVU Student) Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

Jennifer is a Morgantown native and is currently in the Animal Science & Nutrition Program at WVU and would like to enroll in a Veterinary Technician program following graduation and ultimately vet school.  Although Jenn does not have much experience in the veterinary field, here at AMC, we enjoy watching people learn and grow within our practice. In the short time she has been with us, she has shown herself to be a fast learner and a compassionate caregiver.

Jenn has two pets, a mixed breed puppy named "Meeko" a kitten, "Kai" and her adopted kitten "Moku" (adopted from our adoption program!). We are excited to have Jenn as part of our team and look forward to helping her along her journey.

Maria McCabe (M.S. Biology) Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist

Maria originally grew up in Beckley, WV. Maria originally received a bachelor’s degree from WVU and began working in her chosen field. After deciding that her intended path was not the one for her, decided to return to WVU to earn a second degree, this time studying pre-veterinary medicine and biology. Maria has a rather diverse background and experience with many types of animals. She has experience working for other veterinary hospitals, as well as the Central Park Zoo.

Maria currently lives in Morgantown with her 2 cats “Flip” and “Luigi.”  We look forward to working with Maria and helping her work toward her goal of becoming a veterinarian. Update:  Maria was accepted into Colorado State University and will be leaving us next fall to pursue the next phase of her dream!  Congratulations, Maria!!!!!

Hannah Hoblitzell (WVU Student), Animal Care Attendant

Hannah comes to us from Charleston, WV and has been a WVU student since 2009.  She is currently enrolled in the pre-vet program majoring in Animal and Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Equine Management.  Hannah has been riding horses for many years now and is devoted to her Saddlebred horse, Stretch, who even got to move to Morgantown with her.  She also has 2 dogs and 2 cats back at home.

Hannah has aspirations of attending vet school upon completion of her Animal and Nutritional Sciences degree.  She has a great love for animals and loves to be able to help them any way she can.  We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Hannah!
