AMC's Community Involvement
At Animal Medical Center, we love our community, and we enjoy opportunities to support it and participate in community events. As a family owned local business employing staff who are building their homes, raising their families, and planning their lives in our community, we love to do what we can to support the great things about our beautiful home here in Morgantown.
We are committed to being a family-friendly and responsible employer. We support community organizations in whatever ways we can -- whether contributing items for auctions, hosting children's tours, helping with rail trial clean ups or helping out local rescue organizations.
One of our favorite ways to support our community is by participating in some of the fun events in and around Morgantown! We have been known to show up at parades, 5ks, pet festivals, and whatever other pet related (or just plain fun!) events that keep Morgantown fun!
A few of the local organizations we support and/or sponsor include Mountain SOL, Mountaineer Area Robotics, WV Land Trust and Friends of Deckers Creek.
We are also active in participating with local spay/neuter assistance programs and work with MSNAP (Mountaineer Spay Neuter Assistance Program), MCHS (Monongalia County Humane Society) and Homeward Bound WV as well as other county humane societies. These programs enable residents (who may not have been able to provide it otherwise) of our community to receive spay/neuter services as well as a rabies vaccine for their pets. By our participation in these programs (along with other area veterinarians), we are collectively helping to reduce the number of homeless pets that are euthanized in the shelter system. Together, we are making a difference!
