Nursing Team

Jennifer M, (B.S. Animal & Nutritional Sciences) Veterinary Nurse/Client Services

Jennifer is a Morgantown native and is a 2012 graduate of the Animal Science & Nutrition Program at WVU. Jenn has gained valuable experience while here at AMC and continues to learn and grow within our practice. In the time she has been with us, she has shown herself to be a fast learner, a compassionate caregiver, and a natural leader. She is currently serving as our Nursing Team Leader and oversees many of our internal quality control areas. She also assists administratively; as you can tell, she has become quite an integral team member!

Jenn shares her home with two cats - "Kai" and "Moku" (adopted from our adoption program!) and a mixed breed "puppy" named "Meeko". Jenn also loves the outdoors and spending time with family.

Robbin B, (A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology), Veterinary Nurse

Robbin's move to Morgantown and her desire to be in the veterinary field both happened when she was young.  At the age of 5, her family relocated from New York so her father could pastor a local church here.  Robbin's love for helping animals grew and she decided to pursue the veterinary field as a career.  A 2013 graduate of Fairmont State University/Pierpont Community & Technical College, she gained experience during internships at Paw Prints and the WVU Office of Lab Animal Research. She shares her home with her 2 pomeranians named Simba and Sophie and Rocky, the beagle. Robbin says there is nothing like the feeling of nursing a sick animal back to health and wants to be the best veterinary nurse she can be.

Kim FVeterinary Nurse

After graduating high school in Michigan and working in Illinois, Kim's path has led her to West Virginia. Having grown up with special needs dogs, Kim's love for dogs was established and continues to grow.  That love has also expanded to cats as she couldn't resist taking in a stray who now enjoys "the good life" and goes by the name Bella. Kim and her husband have a bustling home with their 2 girls (of the two legged variety) and canine companions, Zoey and Titan. She is pictured here with Zoey on the left and Dozer - RIP Dozer). They also found out that they enjoyed Bella's company so much that they adopted Xylon from our AMC Adoption ProgramShe is excited about having a career in animal care; since she started here with us in the Spring of 2015, she has grown into an integral member of our nursing team.

Beth H, (B.S. in Environmental Biology), Veterinary Nurse

Beth worked here from 2008-2013, moved to Texas and now she’s back!  She began her career in 2001 working at animal sanctuaries and moved to veterinary nursing in 2003. A native of Moundsville, WV, Beth and her husband, Ron, share their home with adopted dogs, Aunt Terrie (a toy fox terrier) and Doppleganger (a hound mix). She cannot imagine working in a place without animals and loves “sharing with owners the love for their special pets”. Fun fact: she plays roller derby for the Morgantown Roller Vixens (she is Ellie Vader, #321)!

Jess F (Stratford Career Institute student), Veterinary Nurse

Jess is a native of Wadestown, WV, but has been calling Morgantown home for 15+ years now. With a love and a passion to help animals and their owners, Jess’s career goals are to become a veterinary nurse in a small animal hospital (and we hope to help her realize that goal!). She has a varied career path that includes culinary arts and construction, but has always maintained her love for animals. At home she cares for her 3 cats, Maggie, Charlie and Zoey. Help us welcome Jess to the team! We are excited to see what the future brings for her!

Carrie C (WVU Student), Animal Care Attendant

Carrie’s first dog, CoCo, inspired her to pursue and education in veterinary medicine and she is currently studying Occupational Therapy and Pre-Veterinary Medicine at WVU. She is also the co-owner of Breezy Acre Farm in Lewisburg, WV, which is where she calls home. It was at her family farm where she gained experience in basic animal care which included dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, hedgehogs and fish! Her career goals are to either be a vet or an animal assisted therapist. She is also working on obtaining her certified handler certification through Hearts of Gold. She shares her heart with Peeka, her chihuahua/terrier mix and Rupert, her DSH tabby. Welcome to the team, Carrie!

Amanda W (A.A.S. in Veterinary Science), Veterinary Assistant/Nurse in Training

Amanda grew up in Bruceton Mills, WV, where she developed her love of animals, farming and gardening. After graduating from Preston High, she went on to earn an associates degree from Pierpont Community & Technical College and hopes to receive her RVT license this summer. She is also continuing her education by pursuing a Biology degree from Fairmont State University and hopes that degree will lead het to vet school. Her prior experience includes serving as a veterinary assistant at Woodlands Animal Care Center. Her non-human family includes 3 horses (Babe, Penny and Holly), 5 dogs (Bo, Hunter, Charlie, Sadie and a recently rescued “sweet old girl”), and Jack the cat. She looks forward to being able to help people and educate them regarding optimum animal care. Welcome to the team, Amanda!

Tatiana C (B.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Management, minor in Conservation Ecology), Veterinary Assistant/Nurse in Training

Tatiana is originally from Hampshire County, WV, and came to Morgantown to study at WVU. Sadly, she and her husband cannot have any pets at this time due to their lease, but her love for animals runs deep. She even travels to Columbus, OH, to serve as a Camp-In Counselor where she facilitates encounters between camp participants and certain zoo residents. Tatiana finds purpose in fostering connections between people and animals and wants to help make sure that the animals are happy and healthy ensuring a long lasting human-animal bond. Welcome to the team, Tatiana!
