Nursing and Animal Care Team

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Jenn

Jennifer M, (B.S. Animal & Nutritional Sciences) Veterinary Nurse/Client Services

Jennifer is a Morgantown native and is a graduate of the Animal Science & Nutrition Program at WVU. Jenn has gained valuable experience while here at AMC and continues to learn and grow within our practice. In the time she has been with us, she has shown herself to be a fast learner, a compassionate caregiver, and a natural leader. She is currently serving as our Nursing Team Leader and oversees many of our internal quality control areas. She also assists administratively; as you can tell, she has become quite an integral team member! Jenn shares her home with two cats - "Kai" and "Moku" (adopted from our adoption program!) and a mixed breed "puppy" named "Meeko". Jenn also loves the outdoors and spending time with family.

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Robbin

Robbin B, (AAS in Veterinary Technology) Veterinary Nurse

Like most of us on the team, Robbin had wanted to work in the veterinary field since she was little and loves helping animals. Born in New York and raised in Morgantown, Robbin earned her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology degree from Pierpont Community and Technical College. Since joining AMC back in 2013, Robbin has become an essential part of the team and always aspires to be the best technician/nurse that she can be. She says there’s nothing like the feeling of nursing a sick animal back to health. Soon to be married, Robbin and her fiancée Wes share their home with Sophie and Simba (adorable Pomeranians) and Rocky the beagle.

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Kim

Kim FVeterinary Nurse

After graduating high school in Michigan and working in Illinois, Kim's path has led her to West Virginia. Having grown up with special needs dogs, Kim's love for dogs was established and continues to grow.  That love has also expanded to cats as she couldn't resist taking in a stray they aptly named Bella (RIP). Kim and her husband have a bustling home with their 2 girls (of the two legged variety) and canine companions, Zoey and Titan. She is pictured here with Zoey on the left and Dozer (RIP Dozer). They also found out that they enjoyed Bella's company so much that they adopted Xylon and Diamond from our AMC Adoption Program! She is excited about having a career in animal care; since she started here with us in the Spring of 2015, she has grown into an integral member of our nursing team and also serves as our Kennel Supervisor.

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Beth

Beth H, (B.S. in Environmental Biology), Veterinary Nurse

Beth worked here from 2008-2013, moved to Texas and now she’s back!  She began her career in 2001 working at animal sanctuaries and moved to veterinary nursing in 2003. A native of Moundsville, WV, Beth and her husband, Ron, share their home with adopted dogs, Aunt Terrie (a toy fox terrier) and Doppleganger (a hound mix). She cannot imagine working in a place without animals and loves “sharing with owners the love for their special pets”. Fun fact: she plays roller derby for the Morgantown Roller Vixens (she is Ellie Vader, #321)!

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Jess

Jess F (Stratford Career Institute student), Veterinary Nurse

Jess is a native of Wadestown, WV, but has been calling Morgantown home for 15+ years now. With a love and a passion to help animals and their owners, Jess’s career goals are to become a veterinary nurse in a small animal hospital (and we hope to help her realize that goal!). She has a varied career path that includes culinary arts and construction, but has always maintained her love for animals. At home she cares for her 3 cats, Maggie, Charlie and Zoey. We are excited to see what the future brings for her!

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Carrie

Carrie C (WVU Graduate Student), Animal Care Attendant

Carrie’s first dog, CoCo, inspired her to pursue and education in veterinary medicine and she is currently studying Occupational Therapy and Pre-Veterinary Medicine at WVU. She is also the co-owner of Breezy Acre Farm in Lewisburg, WV, which is where she calls home. It was at her family farm where she gained experience in basic animal care which included dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, hedgehogs and fish! Her career goals are to either be a vet or an animal assisted therapist. She is also working on obtaining her certified handler certification through Hearts of Gold. She shares her heart with Peeka, her chihuahua/terrier mix and Rupert, her DSH tabby.

Animal Medical Center - Morgantown, WV - Nursing & Animal Care Team - Amber

Amber H (LMT), Veterinary Assistant

Having grown up on a farm in Bridgeport, WV surrounded by animals, Amber has always had compassion for all living things. Formerly employed as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Amber recently decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and aspires to become a registered technician. Once licensed, she hopes to work in a rescue center/sanctuary setting or in wildlife rehabilitation. She shares her home with her 3 cats, (Sura, Roshi and Shrew) and loves to spend time in the outdoors hiking or gardening.

Andrew K (WVU Student), Animal Care Attendant/Veterinary Assistant

A Morgantown native and graduate of Morgantown High School, Andrew is an Animal and Nutritional Science major at WVU. He is a member of the Pre-Vet Club and the Paws Club and has logged over 100 hours of volunteer veterinary hours. Once he graduates from WVU, he plans to attend veterinary school and then open his own clinic. He loves establishing client and patient relationships and making a difference in the lives of the pets and people he  meets. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, his tropical fish and spending time with his mixed breed dog, Maddie. Help us welcome Andrew to the team!

Ally V (Certified Veterinary Assistant), Veterinary Assistant/Nurse in Training

Recently relocating from Memphis, TN, Ally brings to the AMC team several years of veterinary assisting experience. She has plans to also become a Registered Veterinary Technician and loves the relationships she gets to build with clients and patients and the challenges that veterinary medicine brings. She and her husband share their home with 2 dogs (Izzy and Alden) and 2 cats (Pascal Dupuis and recent AMC Adoptive Angus). Fun facts: she loves being outside in nature, BBQ and going to Pittsburgh Penguin hockey games. Welcome to the team, Ally!

Courtney W, Animal Care Attendant

Courtney, our most recent addition to the AMC team, actually met us when she was taking a high school Mentorship class. She had the opportunity to study under Robbin and enjoyed her experience so much that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Like many of us, Courtney has always loved animals and wants to repay them for the many times they’ve been there for her. She also plans to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. An interesting fact about Courtney – although she is allergic to cats, she has chosen veterinary medicine for her career and even has her own three cats (Sassy, Lehia and Mustachio) at home with her and her fiancée. As she says “I don’t let that stop me!”
