Financial Policy

Thank you for choosing Animal Medical Center for your pet's veterinary care. 

 

Our mission is to provide you with kind, courteous, informative care for your pet while treating you and your pet with respect and kindness. Animal Medical Center is dedicated to providing excellent care at a fair cost. To keep our fees as modest as possible for all our clients, we avoid the added expenses and financial risks of extending credit and processing delayed billing. All services must be paid for in full when services are rendered. We do not directly extend credit or bill for services. We do, however, offer Care Credit payment plans for clients who desire delayed billing.

Outpatient Services

 

Outpatient services include any services for which you will remain in the clinic while your pet is being treated. Examples include well and sick examinations and vaccinations. Payment is due at the time of treatment for all outpatient services.  

 

Inpatient Services

 

Inpatient services are services for which you will not remain in the hospital with your pet. Examples include hospitalization, surgery, day admissions and boarding. Payment is due at the time of discharge for all outpatient services.  

 

Estimates & Payment

 

When your pet needs inpatient care, you will be given a clear written estimate of fees. Once you approve the estimate, you will be expected to make payment when your pet is discharged.  It is possible that your pet’s case will not follow the anticipated course – resulting in the fees being higher or lower than estimated. Any changes to the anticipated course of action and any additional fees incurred will be communicated to you prior to your pet’s discharge.

Missed and Cancelled Appointment Policy: 

 

While we understand that appointments will sometimes need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, it is our policy to charge for appointments missed without advance notice. Appointments require 24-hour cancellation and surgeries require 48-hour cancellation. The missed appointment charge of $50 (nonrefundable) will be applied toward your next visit. Three cancellations for the same appointment will also be subject to the $50 nonrefundable fee.

Returned Check Fee

 

$25 fee will be charged for any returned check. Accounts not settled within 14 days of notification are subject to filing as a criminal complaint with the local authorities.

Finance Charge

​

A $5 per month billing fee and 1% per month interest will be added to any account that is, for any reason, not paid in full at time of services.
